Edward Kiyonga
Am a self-motivated Clinical Microbiologist/Immunologist/Educationist with a profiled back ground in Laboratory medicine and attained different trainings that include Certificate and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science(MUST),Post Graduate Diploma in Health Leadership &Management(UIAHMS), Post Graduate Diploma in Health policy and
advocacy(University of Washington-USA), Certificate in Health Leadership & Management (University of
Washington USA), FETP(CDC/Muk-School of Public Health), MSc. Immunology and Clinical Microbiology(Muk), PGDME(Muk), MBA(UMU-Pursuing).
I have greatly contributed in the Research for a period of 10 years and my work has been in AMR and Immunology studies particularly serological status of vaccine and Hepatitis B Vaccine response in pediatric populations in Uganda. My vast experience in research has enabled me to work as a lecturer for Medical Microbiology and Molecular biology at Mbarara University of Science and Technology and
also I have previously worked as Laboratory Coordinator of Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital.
My valued great competencies that I have attained in the period of expertise include Leadership and strategic planning, operational management, Good communication skills, team building, Training health care professionals, ethical and regulatory knowledge, adaptability and problem solving, research grant writing and many others.
The greatest goal is to bring a positive difference in people’s lives and societies through research and Innovation.
