Overview

BIT Global Climate Change and Health Collaboration is a multidisciplinary initiative working to strengthen Global capacity to address the rising threats of climate change, infectious diseases and anti-microbial resistance. We envision a resilient society where communities and institutions collaborate to reduce health risks. Our work focuses on climate change and health, global health security, and antimicrobial resistance.

Through targeted programs and partnerships, we support community empowerment, capacity building, and evidence-based policy development. By working with government, academia, and local stakeholders, we aim to strengthen health systems and promote sustainable, long-term solutions Globally.

Impact

Impact

  • Climate Change & Health
Climate change is a growing public health threat, increasing the spread of disease, food insecurity, and climate-related displacement.

  • Global Health Security
Infectious diseases can spread rapidly. Strengthening surveillance, preparedness, and response systems is essential for protecting communities.

  • Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
Misuse of antibiotics is driving drug-resistant infections, putting lives at risk and undermining progress in modern medicine.

Response

At Bit Global, we:

  • Support climate-resilient health initiatives in affected communities.

Who we are

BIT Global Climate Change and Health Collaboration is a multidisciplinary initiative committed to strengthening Uganda’s capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to the growing threats posed by climate change, infectious diseases and anti-microbial resistance.
Our vision is to cultivate a society free from catastrophic health risks—where communities, districts, and national systems, work collaboratively to ensure a safer, healthier, and more resilient population.

Climate Change and Health

The impacts of climate change pose significant and growing threats to public health, particularly in vulnerable communities across Uganda and the world.

Global Health Security

In an increasingly interconnected world, the rapid spread of infectious diseases and other public health emergencies presents a serious threat to global well-being.

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

Antimicrobial resistance is one of the most pressing public health challenges of our time, threatening the effectiveness of life-saving treatments and the control of infectious diseases.
