Isaac Irera holds a Bachelor’s  Degree  of Science in Meteorology of Makere University and Diploma in Mental Health Nursing of Butabika school of Psychiatric Nursing.

He has worked as a Registered Mental Health Nurse at Kabale Regional Referall Hospital under Ministry of Health-Uganda, where he has been actively involved in the care, management and treatment of patients with different mental disorders.

He has also worked with the Uganda National Meteorological Authority as a Climate Data Rescue clerk under a project entitled Building Resilient Communities Wet land Ecosystems and associated catchments in Uganda which aimed at strengthening access to climate and early warning information to farmers to support wetland management. 

Lastly, he has worked at the National Meteorological centre- Entebbe as a weather forecaster using the different weather forecasting models. He posses skills in weather forecasting, climate data validation, analysis and care and management of patients with mental condition/disorders.
