Namuli Annet Christine
I am a committed Public Health Specialist and Epidemiologist. Previously, I was attached to Uganda’s Ministry of Health under the Department of Integrated Epidemiology & Surveillance and Public Health Emergencies (IES & PHEs) at the National Public Health Emergency Operations Center (NPHEOCS). I bring a wealth of experience in managing and responding to public health emergencies, both nationally and internationally.
My work involves leading rapid response efforts as an AVHOC Surge Emergency Responder (RRT), contributing to outbreak responses such as Ebola, murburg, Measles, Monkeypox, Floods, Mudslides e.t.c and conducting critical simulation exercises to strengthen preparedness. I facilitate Event-Based Surveillance (EBS) trainings across multiple regions, provide technical support for the ePHEM platform, and support coordination across all levels of the health system to ensure efficient emergency operations.
I have led multi-hazard risk assessments using the STAR Tool, contributed to 7-1-7 After Action Reviews, and played a key role in producing the PHEOCS Weekly Bulletin. I have data management skills as supported by tools such as Excel, Power BI, QGIS, and ArcGIS.
Previously, I served with the World Health Organization (WHO) as a Public Health Specialist (Data Management Officer) where I supported multiple surveillance activities under the Emergency Preparedness and Response cluster. My leadership, coordination, and multi-sectoral approach continue to drive impactful contributions to health security, including responses to climate-related health threats.
For several years I worked in Research settings including the School of Public Health Makerere University, MOH Population HIV National Surveys and Rakai Health Sciences Program. I have also supported a number of MOH Implementing Partners in areas of Programs, System Strengthening as well as Laboratory Services. I have Career aspirations in Climate Change and Health Response.
Namuli Annet Christine holds a Masters of Public Health Degree from Clarke International University, A Bachelor of Science Degree from Makerere University and a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Jinja Medical Laboratory School.
